We are making much better progress than expected, the New Zealand Transport Agency hopes to restore controlled, single-lane access to residents and essential services by mid-December," Bridges said on Tuesday.

Kiwi Girl Falls To Her Death At Melbourne Balcony
It's believed that the pair were partying when they slipped from the balcony. The bodies were found on Saturday morning. Ms Klasema's father, who lives in Thailand, said it was extremely strange that two people could fall from a balcony.
Police are not treating her death as suspicious, labelling it "misadventure" after a night of partying. Channel 7 reported the man overbalanced and reached out for support, accidentally dragging Ms Klasema over the railing with him.

Jupiter's Moon Spewing Water Jets
It is significant because Europa is one of the most likely places to find microbial life beyond Earth because of its huge ocean of liquid water.
Scientists are also looking at the possibility of attempting to capture a sample of water and bring it back to Earth for more detailed biological analysis.

Soccer At The 2016 Olympic Games
The 2016 Olympic soccer events are going to be held in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil and they start on the 3rd and finish on the 20th of August!
It was a sunshiny day so I thought I would get out of bed and start training for the 2016 Olympic games. The Olympics are special because athletes from around the world (including myself) will be competing against their opponents. I am representing my home country New Zealand. I have to take a plane to Rio early if I want to get there on time.
My position in the team is goal defence. There are soccer players out there that are so determined to win so maybe I have to if I want to WIN. It was a day before the Olympics and I had to prepare myself for the upcoming events.
I am a little bit nervous to compete against the other team because this is the first time I am going to be in the Olympics.

My Olympic Mascot
Today Room 11 had to create a mascot that had to be linked to the Olympic games. It took me a while to think about it but I still managed to come up with something. My mascot is a fox. I think I could have done better while drawing it!

Pokemon Go takes over the world!
The latest world wide Pokemon go has taken over the world in just a few weeks. The game is put out by Nintendo and is played on mobile devices. It has now become the most search team on google and the game is only live in New Zealand and a handful of other countries selected.
What Is Pokemon GO?:
Hundreds of millions of people have been catching these creatures since it was first launched 2 decades ago. Pokemon is the new version of the game that players can use for the first time on their mobile devices. This game is for people who are the age of 9 years and over. It encourages them to walk around the street to catch Pokemon, but the makers have warned players to stay alert at all times and to be aware of their surroundings!

Leopard Escapes Zoo in Utah, USA
A leopard escaped from its enclosure at Hogle Zoo. Hundreds of zoo visitors took shelter inside cafes and gift shops. The 4 year old female leopard was found by visitors at the zoo about an hour later sleeping on a high outdoor ledge in a public area. The rare leopard was tranquilized. The Zoo Staff don't yet know how the leopard got out!

Total Solar Eclipse over Indonesia!
The last time Indonesia had a solar eclipse was back in 1983. Back then the government warned people to stay in doors because the eclipse would cause blindness.
According to NASA the next solar eclipse will be in and will be visible from the United States. Photo From Kiwi Kids News

Waitangi Day
On Waitangi day it was a nice and cool day. Then later on my mum and I decided that we should go and get my brother and my nephew. So we got up, got changed, had breakfast and hopped in the car and drove off. It wasn't that long so I waited and then finally we arrived there. We saw my niece and brother outside but we didn't see my nephew? We stayed until the afternoon We saw him later on so we all got in the car and went home. When we got home it was dark so I went for a shower and went to bed!
