Kiwi Girl Falls To Her Death At Melbourne Balcony

Chantelle Klasema (Instagram/chanty_nangdalene)A  New Zealand woman has died after jumping 10 meters from a balcony in Melbourne. Chantelle Klasema, a 29 year old from Hawkes bay was killed when she fell from the third floor of an apartment. A 35 year old man who also fell is in a stable condition in the hospital.

It's believed that the pair were partying when they slipped from the balcony. The bodies were found on Saturday morning. Ms Klasema's father, who lives in Thailand, said it was extremely strange that two people could fall from a balcony.

Police are not treating her death as suspicious, labelling it "misadventure" after a night of partying. Channel 7 reported the man overbalanced and reached out for support, accidentally dragging Ms Klasema over the railing with him.

Jupiter's Moon Spewing Water Jets

jupiterNew evidence has shown that Jupiter's icy moon Europa throws jets of water in to space. Scientists first reported the behavior in 2013 using the Hubble telescope but know have made a follow up sighting.

It is significant because Europa is one of the most likely places to find microbial life beyond Earth because of its huge ocean of liquid water.

Scientists are also looking at the possibility of attempting to capture a sample of water and bring it back to Earth for more detailed biological analysis.

Soccer At The 2016 Olympic Games

The 2016 Olympic soccer events are going to be held in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil and they start on the 3rd and finish on the 20th of August!

It was a sunshiny day so I thought I would get out of bed and start training for the 2016 Olympic games. The Olympics are special because athletes from around the world (including myself) will be competing against their opponents. I am representing my home country New Zealand. I have to take a plane to Rio early if I want to get there on time.

My position in the team is goal defence. There are soccer players out there that are so determined to win so maybe I have to if I want to WIN. It was a day before the Olympics and I had to prepare myself for the upcoming events.

I am a little bit nervous to compete against the other team because this is the first time I am going to be in the Olympics.

My Olympic Mascot

Today Room 11 had to create a mascot that had to be linked to the Olympic games. It took me a while to think about it but I still managed to come up with something. My mascot is a fox. I think I could have done better while drawing it!

Total Solar Eclipse over Indonesia!

eclipsesolarLast Wednesday crowds formed across Indonesia as the sky went darker. This was the first and last solar eclipse for 2016.

The last time Indonesia had a solar eclipse was back in 1983. Back then the government warned people to stay in doors because the eclipse would cause blindness.

According to NASA the next solar eclipse will be in and will be visible from the United States.                                                                                              Photo From Kiwi Kids News

So we got up, got changed, had breakfast and hopped in the car and drove off. It wasn't that long so I waited and then finally we arrived there. We saw my niece and brother outside but we didn't see my nephew? We stayed until the afternoon We saw him later on so we all got in the car and went home. Clay Modeling Techniques - iPhone

More than 14 days ago ( 2 weeks ) room 11 had to get into groups and decide what kind of technology we wanted to make out of clay. So we got into groups of 3 Maranatha, Gloria and myself made a group and decided that we were going to make an iPhone. So when we finished, we had to write about what we wanted to include what a phone comes with. But of course, you would have to include a charger, because it is the most important thing.  So 3 days ago we had to make what we wrote about, out of clay. When we finally finished  we had to take a photo of what we made. Here is a photo of what I  made:
